So, Saturday night, I played VIP host to Mr. David Spade and his manager. I made sure David and his friends were taken care of. I walked them in the back entrance for the Norm MacDonald show, took them to a private skybox, and made sure the cocktail waitress was taking care of them. David Spade was supercool...very polite. He even remembered my name when I finally left them alone a half hour later. "Thanks, Ryan...you've been great." And to thank me further, Mr. Spade put me and 3 of my friends on the guestlist for his comedy show last night at Mandalay Bay. 4th row center seats even. Rockin.
On a completely different subject, last night at my work, Joey McIntyre performed. Yes, the dork from the New Kids On The block is solo now (lucky us) and we sold a whopping 140 tickets to his show. So, after talking to one of our production managers, he told me that throughout the show, Joey points out certain girls to his manager. The manager then points those girls out to our production guy, who promptly heads out onto the floor, and presents said girls with backstage passes. The reason behind this? "Joey doens't want any fat or ugly girls back stage." and that's a quote directly from his manager. A total of 10 backstage passes were given out. I'm only afraid to ask what went on in our green room after thet show. All this is even funnier because Joey McIntyre now claims to be a born again Christian...apparently alot of his solo songs are very spiritual. I've never listened, nor will I ever, so I can't confirm this. However, I do think it's great that he's now all churchy and Gody and he's still slutting around with aging New Kids Groupies. Sex before marriage is a SIN Mr. McIntyre, or did you skip that chapter in the Bible? Now I'm not religious. I don't like religion at all...any religion. Christianity, Catholocism, Satanism, Buddhism, whatever. But I do know that if you claim to be Mr. Religious High and Mighty, you should practice what you preach.
