My first entry in nearly a month. Where have I been?
Wednesday and Thursday of last week were arguably 2 of the greatest days of my life. I watched my 2 best friends in the entire world get married. I fought back the tears as I watched them tie the knot, and as I nervously read my Best Man speech. With the exception of me not getting my vacation time, last week was perfect. The wedding was lovely, Andrea looked beautiful, Andy looked sharp in his suit. Dre's Mom told me she considered me part of the family. I got to see the ever so beautiful Megan, who looked absolutely stunning in her dress. I got to hang with Andy, Daniel, Anthony and Benny Wednesday night, and I feel like I've made 2 new friends. We all got along so famously. When we were all walking through the hotel in our suits, we were asked by several people if we were in a band. We were asked so many times, in fact, that we decided to start a band. Not that any of us can play instruments, nor do we ever plan on playing a gig, but we needed a cool band name to tell people when they asked. Thus, In The Shadow Of Blood was born. That's the name of our cool new emo band. I think we'll be huge. Bigger than Dashbored Confessional.
Upon returning home, I found that everyone's lives are going to shit. Rachel dumped Bri and kicked him out. Matt and Stuber broke up. My best friend from High School, Tony and his wife just split (they've been together for 12 years). Bri and I were involved in a minor car accident Tuesday night, which could have turned real ugly seeing as Brian was driving on a suspended license, and the truck he was driving (which belonged to his roommate) was not insured.
What the fuck is going on? Ups and downs. When it rains it pours.
Life kind of sucks right now.
But my steady diet of Lortab, Vicodin, and alcohol make it all better. Or maybe they just make it all blurry. Either way...I'm getting by.
