My new friend at UNI sent me the deluxe reissue of Sonic Youth's fucking brilliant 1992 album "Dirty." It's a 2 CD set with all of the "Dirty" b-sides (which I already had), plus "Dirty" demos, liner notes by Lee and Thurston, and new photos. It's great. I love seeing a classic album like that getting the deluxe treatment.
It's weird to have a girlfriend again. It's weird how it all just came together and happened. It's weird how strangely comfortable it is. It's weird how much she likes me. It's weird how much I like her. It's weird how we've run in the same circles, and how we've known all the same people for 7 years, but we just finally met.
It's weird how annoying track 10 on this Polyphonic Spree CD is.
Last night she said to me "I'm glad I'm your girlfriend."
I'm glad too.
"She makes my head spin around."
Built To Spill tomorrow night. The afterparty at Noreen's will feature yours truly and my rag tag collective of DJs, along with a live performance from the soon-to-be-on-hiatus Amber Halo.
And Noreens is less than a block from my pad so if you all get drunk, you can walk over to my house and sleep it off.
